Today’s post is a little different from what you’re used to
reading from me. I’m changing it up
today because I am THRILLED to introduce you to a fabulous new resource and
tool from one of my mentors, Elisa Pulliam.
To say that I am excited to finally hold this book in my
hands is an understatement. I’ve known
the message that Elisa has had on her heart for some time and to actually be
able to smell the newness of the binding and physically turn the pages of her heart in print;
well that’s something special.
Meet the New You
is all about embracing fresh attitudes and learning to focus on real life
change. It’s a 21-day journey, with the
destination being a brand new you, or for some, a discovery of a brave new
you. It’s all about life
transformation.
I don’t know about
you, but I could use some of that.
So you can imagine my excitement when this gem showed up in
my mailbox. I wasted no time in diving
right in. I’m ready for a change and I’m
ready to embrace a new me.
What about
YOU?

As a certified life coach and mentor, Elisa knows what she’s
talking about guys. Using her personal
experiences paired with her coaching skills and biblical principles, Elisa will
take you through 5 phases to meet the new you.
Phase 1: Awareness
Phase 2: Assessment
Phase 3: Obstacles
Phase 4: Solutions
Phase 5: Vision
Within the first few pages, Elisa’s words will meet you where
you’re at. They are honest and
bold. It’s refreshing to read. Here are some of the things I
highlighted since I started reading:
“God is the master Artist
painting the picture of your life, and He sees the whole canvas. The smudge of color that looks like a mistake
may very well become the focal point of the composition as God works it into
His perfect creation.”
“Time is consumed, with or
without your permission.”
“God understands time in a way we’ll
never comprehend, so what if we took our cues from Him on how to work within
its limitations?
“This work matters much to God, regardless
of how the world perceives or receives it.
Your work is significant not because of the outcome but because of the
motive-meaning the state of your heart-whether you’re washing one more dish,
completing one more spreadsheet, or matching one more pair of socks.”
And one of my favorite parts is when Elisa shares about her
struggle with folding laundry. As
someone who shares in that struggle, it’s awesome. {You’ll have to pick up the book to hear the whole story.}
Elisa also has a website full of tools and resources that go
along with the book and help enhance the journey to the new you.

Elisa is right, time is consumed with or without our
permission. And I don’t know about you,
but taking time for myself is extremely hard and I often push it back because
of other things that I deem more important.
But as women living and serving in various roles of life, we've got to take care of our ourselves.
So what's stopping you from meeting the new you? Go on sister, step out in faith and meet the new you. You'll love her...promise.
